| Bio: | This is an non-sectarian* journal offering parity of esteem to all our island traditions, named in honour of the BBC World Service theme tune, but friends only. Update on the National Question: though I remain, I hope, non-sectarian*, the last sharp waning of any Unionist sympathies I may have had occurred on 11th June 2008. Not so much because I believe the United Kingdom is unviable (I've thought that for ages) but because I no longer want to be a citizen** of that nation state. *though if you don't get this, we might not always get on: Presbyterian: Have you heard the Church of Ireland have a new low-calorie communion wafer? Catholic: A what? Presbyterian: Yeah, it's called I Can't Believe It's Not Jesus. **plz, no pointing out am subject. Am citizen, sez so on passport, and incidentally, while we are at it, UK has constitution, and no, people "in the past" weren't shorter than us. Right, I think that's all the pet peeves covered. Oh yeah, life expectancy =/= how long person might expect to live. Don't commit these, and try and stay off the racism, sexism, homophobia and general rudeness to people different from oneself, and we'll get on great. Instructions To read: follow the instructions in the public post. To stop reading: please have no compunction about deleting me from your friends' list. I won't take offence. If you would like me to stop reading/commenting on your journal in return, please drop a comment to that effect. I shan't ask why or cause drama. If I add you to my reading list I don't expect you to add me in return. Interest is not always mutual. If I no longer want to read you, I'll probably just slip away without notification. | |||||
